design and implement software for real-time embedded systems and graphical user interfaces.  The largest project currently underway uses an embedded Linux PC, with software coded primarily in Java and C.  An FPGA addresses many of the hard real time requirements with custom logic.  Some of the processing happens in TMS320 F2800-series DSP chips and various microcontrollers.  Another project underway uses a TMS320 DSP chip as it's main processor, and implements a GUI-controlled instrument in C++.  New projects will use whatever technologies and languages are appropriate to the particular task.
